Work With Me

Most AI projects don’t fail because the model is wrong. They fail because nobody made them clear enough to trust, ship, or own.

That’s the work I do.

I’m an AI product architect with sixteen years of designing complex, data-dense enterprise systems — supply chain, insurance, government, automotive. I now help product and business leaders turn ambiguous AI ambitions into systems people actually understand, trust, and put into production.

Not slide decks. Not “AI strategy” in the abstract. The interface, the decision flow, the oversight model, the points where a human needs to stay in control — the parts that decide whether an AI initiative becomes real or quietly dies in a backlog.

Where I’m useful

Three problem-shapes where I do my best work

I take on a small number of engagements at a time, and I’m deliberately selective about fit.

AI Product Clarity Audit

You have an AI initiative that’s stalled, vague, or hard to trust.

You can feel that something’s off — the demos impress but the thing won’t ship, stakeholders keep asking the same unanswered questions, or “human-in-the-loop” has quietly become rubber-stamping. I come in, map where clarity actually breaks — the reasoning, the interface, the decision boundaries, the oversight that isn’t really oversight — and give you a concrete, prioritised picture of what to fix and why.

You leave with: a clear diagnosis, a ranked set of interventions, and a shared language your team can act on.

AI Workflow & Interface Design

You know what you want the AI to do. You don’t yet know what it should look like to the person using it.

This is the core craft: designing the system and interface around an AI capability so it’s legible, bounded, and trustworthy in a real enterprise workflow. Visible reasoning, appropriate autonomy, human ownership, an audit trail that holds up. The difference between AI that people quietly stop using and AI that becomes infrastructure.

You leave with: designed workflows and interfaces, the thinking behind every decision, and a model your engineers can build against.

Design Partner for Serious AI Products

You’re building something consequential and want a senior systems thinker in the room, not just a pair of hands.

For teams who want ongoing, embedded judgement — someone who’s watched elegant systems get destroyed by committee and knows how to prevent it. I work alongside your product and design people to keep the thing coherent as it grows, challenge assumptions early, and make sure the hard questions get asked before they become expensive.

You leave with: a sharper product, fewer wrong turns, and decisions you can defend.

How I work

One engagement at a time.

I take on one engagement at a time. That’s a deliberate choice, not a limitation — it means the work I’m doing gets my full attention, and it means I’m genuinely selective about the problems I say yes to.

Because of that, this page has an application rather than a contact form. It’s a short set of questions to understand your situation before we talk. If it’s a fit, you’ll hear from me directly and we’ll find time. If it isn’t, I’ll tell you honestly — and where I can, point you somewhere better.

No pitch deck, no discovery-call funnel. Just: tell me the actual problem.

What I believe about this work

If you want to know how I think before you get in touch, the writing is the best place to start.

And the case studies show this thinking applied — TX-1, SS-1 and Swarm Lite each work through a different facet of trustworthy, human-owned AI in enterprise settings.

The actual situation, in your own words. What's the AI meant to do, and where is it stuck?

How will you know the engagement was worth it?

Audit / design work / ongoing partnership / not sure yet — all fine.

Your role, the company, and who else is involved in the decision.

When you'd want to start, and anything I should know about budget, internal politics, or deadlines.

6. Where can I reach you?

Name, email, and a link (LinkedIn, the company, the product) if there is one.

I read every application personally. If we're a fit, you'll hear back from me directly.
